🌲 A Weekend That Filled My Heart: Camping, Connection, and a Bucket List Memory

This past weekend, I did something I hadn’t done in 20 years—I went camping.
Not just camping… RV camping. A bucket list item I finally got to cross off. And let me tell you: I’m hooked.
Even more beautiful than the experience itself was who I shared it with—my three incredible kids.
It was their first time camping, and I wasn’t sure how it would go. But what surprised me most? The joy on their faces. Not a screen in sight. Just dirt-covered fingers, wide eyes, and laughter under the stars. For a generation born into Wi-Fi and iPads, it was wild to watch them unplug and come alive in nature.
There’s something so ancient, so healing, about being outdoors. The fire crackles, the fresh air, the stillness in the trees… it reminded me how much I needed this. It reminded me that nature doesn’t just reset the mind—it resets the soul.
I’ve been checking off a lot of bucket list moments this year, but this one? This one hit different.
Big shout out to my brother Juan Carlos for organizing and facilitating the entire trip. Your presence, guidance, and love helped create something unforgettable—for me and my kids. These are the memories they’ll carry forever.
I’ve got the itch now. The camping bug has bitten, and I don’t plan to wait another 20 years. This is just the beginning of a new tradition—one that reconnects me to myself, to my kids, and to what truly matters.
My heart is full.
