Loss, But Not Defeat

What the Blue Jays Taught Us About Breathwork and Resilience
Game 7.
Heartbreak.
Silence across the country.
The Toronto Blue Jays gave us a season we’ll never forget…… not because they won, but because they showed us what it means to believe when the odds are stacked against you.
Mid-season, they were written off.
No one expected a late surge.
No one predicted the playoffs.
And absolutely no one foresaw a Game 7 World Series appearance.
Yet there they were.
Fighting.
Swinging.
Breathing.
What the Blue Jays gave us wasn’t just baseball, it was a reminder of something deeper:
Resilience is not defined by outcome. It’s defined by response.
That’s the essence of Breathwork.
You come to the mat not to win, but to show up.
You sit in the discomfort.
You let go of what you thought was supposed to happen.
And you breathe through it all ….. the heartbreak, the surprise, the fire, the release.
Just like that dugout after the final out you learn to sit in the silence…
Not as a victim of loss, but as a witness to growth.
Because what looked like defeat was actually transformation.
This season, the Blue Jays reminded us:
You’re never too far gone.
You’re never too behind.
And you’re never out …… as long as you keep showing up and breathing.
