Moments That Matter: Green Day, My Daughter, and the Power of Presence

Last night was one for the books.
I took my daughter Remi to her very first concert—Green Day. My favorite band. The music that helped me move through so many chapters of my life was now echoing through the air with my daughter on my shoulders, eyes wide with wonder, heart pounding with joy. Her mom, my ex-wife, came too. And in that moment, the past didn’t matter. We were just three souls, connected by music, memories, and the magic of being fully present.
This wasn’t just a concert. It was integration in real life.
In the LYJ5D practice, I talk a lot about transformation—about clearing out the old, breathing into truth, and stepping into alignment. But what often gets overlooked is this: Transformation isn’t complete until it’s integrated. Until the lessons meet the real world.
For me, that was last night. Holding space with my daughter and her mother. Feeling the power of presence. Living without resistance. Celebrating love in all its forms. And honoring the inner kid in me who once got lost in Green Day’s lyrics—now healed enough to share that moment with his own kid.
This is the journey.
This is LYJ5D.
It’s not just about healing. It’s about living the healed life.
Loud. Grateful. Fully expressed.
So this week, my challenge to you is simple:
Don’t just do the work—live the work.
Create memories that matter. Show your inner child that they made it. And celebrate every breath along the way.
With love and rhythm,
Vince – LYJ5D
